Noosa House
Noosa Heads, Queensland | MORQ Architects
Building on 32 degree days is no easy task. With a series of over 200 screw piers and a steel portal frame to provide the main structure, there was nothing easy about this home. It is well crafted with Grey Ironbark cladding, batten screens, retaining wall and stairs.
The roof is copper and the 3 wet areas have been tiled from floor to ceiling with mosaic tiles. Incredibly understated, the stone work stairs and paths that climb the hill from the base of the block to the peak where the house is situated, is a masterpiece of stonemasonry.
